About Bill

I have been training dogs and their owners since 1981. Most recently, I graduated from the of the Karen Pryor Academy, and was a charter member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. I use positive reinforcement, exclusively, to train dogs.
I pursue continuing education and professional development by attending several seminars per year and keep abreast of current trends and advances in the training field. I have earned the respect of and I am referred by several local Los Angeles veterinarians; William Carlsen, Brentwood Pet Clinic, and others who trust me to provide highly perceptive, effective, dog behavior advice to their clients.

  • I was a Charter member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, founded by Ian Dunbar around 1993.
  • I became a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Dog Training Partner in Los Angeles in May of 2008.
  • This past year, I attended the Robert & Marian Bailey 56 Hour Special Operant Conditioning Clicker Workshop in June of 2010.
  • As West Los Angeles veterinarian Steven Ettinger said, “Client after client returns with only the finest compliments about Bill’s abilities as a trainer of both the dog and the family.”
